Sydney Park, St Peters

Wilson Pedersen Landscapes has recently completed the north-western upgrade works to Sydney Park, which features a new all-abilities playground.

The project also refurbished the popular village green, providing new grass mounds and fig trees for shade. New access paths and lighting were also installed as part of the upgrade, along with major earthworks, paths, dry creek beds and playground installation.

Sydney Park won an award for Best Playground — Awards of Excellence — Landscape Contractors Association Awards 2009. A recommendation by the Lord Mayor of Sydney, Clover Moore MP.

Hollis Park

Hollis Park, Newtown

The Newtown project included demolition, of the existing retaining wall, concrete works and the set out and construction of new brick and sandstone retaining walls, staircases, paths and edges.

Lighting was installed, while paving and asphalt have been used to create accessible pathways thru the path. Together with the project's other elements, this has created a spacious parkland that is complementary to Newtown's beautiful heritage homes that surround Hollis Park.

Redfern Oval

Redfern Oval, Redfern – Skate and basketball courts

The completion of Redfern Oval included the concrete works, the set out and construction of raised concrete skate features, and the supply and installation of removable basketball hoops and backboards and painted artwork to the courts and skate area.

Victoria Park

Victoria Park, Glebe

The local Glebe playground upgrade was aimed at significantly improving the function and appearance of the playground and surrounding area. The existing play equipment was removed to make way for the creation of a new and larger playground, catering for a greater range of age groups.

With the incorporation of new shade trees, a central seating area for carers, an accessible path and equipment for all ages, the new playground also caters to a range of abilities and to different ages.

Frog Hollow Reserve

Frog Hollow Reserve, Surry Hills

The construction of Frog Hollow Reserve, despite being a large project, was mainly limited to major earthworks, the construction of walls, and large staircase reconnecting the park to Riley Street, heritage works and the laying of sandstone and pathworks.
